Total Eclipse of the Hart(ville)

This April, Hartville, Ohio, will host a unique celebration for the Great North American Eclipse. As a key location within the eclipse’s path of totality, Hartville invites stargazers of all ages to its Total Eclipse of the Hart(ville) event, a long weekend filled with live music, shopping, food, and activities for the whole family.

Experience Hartville is offering a complimentary eclipse viewing area on its property. Day-of festivities will include a DJ, activities for kids, interactive fun with representatives from the Stark Library Lake Community Branch, and more.

Anyone interested in watching the eclipse from the viewing area must register in advance. The first 500 people to sign up will receive free eclipse glasses (limit two per household) and special coupons to enhance their experience in Hartville. All registrants will be entered into the Summer Fun in Hartville giveaway, which includes a one-night stay at Comfort Suites Hartville, along with a brimming gift basket and gift cards.

Each free ticket permits individuals to bring multiple guests, and groups are encouraged to register under a single ticket to enjoy the event together. All attendees should wear certified eclipse glasses to safely view the eclipse.

A weekend of exploration and enjoyment

The Total Eclipse of the Hart(ville) festivities will commence on April 6 with the Home & Garden Sale and Expo at Hartville Hardware, America’s largest independently owned hardware store. The weekend will culminate with a performance by renowned Johnny Cash tribute artist, Terry Lee Goffee, on the evening of the eclipse.
